Enlightenment Education is seeking caring, patient and dedicated Autism Support Teaching Assistants to work across mainstream schools, specialist SEND schools and autism resource provisions throughout Derby.

The Role\n

As an Autism Support Teaching Assistant, you will:

• \n

  Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism (ASC).

\n
• \n

  Help pupils develop communication, social interaction and emotional regulation skills.

\n
• \n

  Use visual strategies, structured routines and positive behaviour support techniques.

\n
• \n

  Support pupils both in the classroom and during unstructured times such as break and lunchtime.

\n
• \n

  Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and therapists to implement individual learning plans.

\n
• \n

  Create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment where every child can succeed.

\n

We Are Looking For Someone Who:\n

• \n

  Has experience supporting children or young people with Autism (ASC).

\n
• \n

  Understands the importance of consistency, patience and routine.

\n
• \n

  Can build trusting relationships with pupils and their families.

\n
• \n

  Is calm, empathetic and resilient.

\n
• \n

  Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.

\n
• \n

  Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one).

\n
