About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and develop the Quality function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a senior leadership position responsible for driving quality excellence, maintaining quality management systems, ensuring customer satisfaction, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the site.

\n

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and executing the site's quality strategy, ensuring products consistently meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements while supporting wider business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Leadership & Strategy

\n
    \n
  • Lead the site's Quality function, developing and implementing quality strategies aligned with business goals.
  • \n
  • Champion a culture of quality ownership throughout the organisation.
  • \n
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • \n
  • Contribute as a member of the site Leadership Team, supporting strategic business development and operational excellence.
  • \n
\n

Quality Management Systems

\n
    \n
  • Maintain and continually improve the site's ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • \n
  • Ensure all compliance audits, procedural reviews, and internal audits are conducted according to agreed schedules.
  • \n
  • Oversee calibration and compliance requirements for laboratory and testing equipment.
  • \n
  • Lead investigations into quality issues and ensure robust corrective and preventative actions are implemented and sustained.
  • \n

Customer & Supplier Quality

\n
    \n
  • Act as the escalation point for customer and supplier quality concerns and non-conformances.
  • \n
  • Manage the customer complaints process, ensuring timely investigation, communication, and resolution.
  • \n
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and suppliers to support quality performance and continuous improvement.
  • \n
  • Drive improvements aimed at reducing customer complaints year-on-year.
  • \n
\n

Operational Quality Support

  • Ensure effective quality control support across production, raw materials, and work-in-progress activities.
  • \n
  • Authorise product quarantine and corrective actions where required.
  • \n
  • Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Technical, and Continuous Improvement teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • \n

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, develop, and motivate the Quality team to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
  • \n
  • Identify training, coaching, and development needs to build capability across the function.
  • \n
  • Ensure adequate resource planning and workforce capability to meet business requirements.
  • \n
  • Facilitate regular quality review meetings to share knowledge, drive accountability, and promote best practices.
  • \n

Skills & Experience

\n

Essential

\n
    \n
  • Proven experience in a senior Quality Management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • \n
  • Extensive experience managing ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • \n
  • Demonstrable success in leading quality improvement initiatives and embedding a quality-focused culture.
  • \n
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • \n
  • Experience managing customer and supplier quality issues.
  • \n
  • Project management and process improvement experience.
  • \n
\n

Desirable

    \n
  • Experience working within highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • \n
\n

Applicants must have the ability to pass Security Clearance and have been Resident in the UK for 5 Years or more.
