Finance Director

Job Title: Finance DirectorLocation: MaidstoneJob Type: Full time/permanent Salary: £120,000 - £132,000 per annum (dependent on experience)OverviewAn established, fast growing professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead the finance function and drive commercial performance. This is a senior role with responsibility for strategic financial planning, operational financial management, and partnership with the executive team to deliver sustainable growth.Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership and contribute to overall business strategy.
\n
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long range financial planning processes.
\n
• Oversee management and statutory reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with accounting standards.
\n
• Develop and maintain strong financial controls, risk management and governance frameworks.
\n
• Drive margin improvement, pricing strategy and commercial decision making across the business.
\n
• Lead and develop a high performing finance team; set objectives, mentor and build capability.
\n
• Partner with practice leaders and operational teams to translate financial insight into actionable plans.
\n
• Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury and banking relationships.
\n
• Lead or support M&A activity, due diligence and integration as required.
\n
• Implement and optimise finance systems, processes and automation to improve efficiency and data quality.
\n

Essential experience and qualifications

\n
• Significant senior finance experience within the professional services sector (this is a mandatory requirement).
\n
• Proven track record in a leadership role (e.g., Finance Director, Head of Finance) with responsibility for a multi discipline finance function.
\n
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent).
\n
• Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax considerations and regulatory requirements relevant to professional services.
\n
• Demonstrable commercial acumen and experience partnering with senior stakeholders to drive business performance.
\n
• Experience of leading change, finance transformation and ERP/financial system implementations.
\n
• Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills.
