City of London – Location to be confirmed £32,110 - £35,000 Permanent, Full-Time (35 hours per week) September Start

Are you an organised and detail-oriented administrator with HR experience, or looking to build on your existing HR knowledge within a prestigious educational environment?

We are recruiting for a permanent HR Administrator to join a busy and supportive HR team, providing essential administrative support across a group of leading independent schools in the City of London. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, confidentiality, and excellent customer service are key.

\n

As HR Administrator, you will support the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through to absence management, compliance, payroll administration, and employee record maintenance.

\n

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating pre-employment checks and onboarding activities.
  • \n
  • Administering DBS and compliance checks.
  • \n
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • \n
  • Supporting recruitment administration, including interview coordination and candidate communications.
  • \n
  • Managing HR documentation and personnel files.
  • \n
  • Assisting with absence management administration.
  • \n
  • Supporting payroll processes and HR reporting.
  • \n
  • Providing first-line support for HR enquiries.
  • \n
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and employment procedures.
  • \n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within HR, recruitment, education, or a compliance-focused environment.
  • \n
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \n
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • \n
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • \n
  • A professional and customer-focused attitude.
  • \n

HR experience is desirable, although candidates with strong administration experience and a keen interest in developing a career in HR are encouraged to apply.
