A growing and highly successful FMCG business is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of its end-to-end supply chain operations. This is a key leadership role within a values-driven organisation supplying products to customers across the UK and international markets.

\n

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving supply chain efficiency, optimising inventory management, strengthening supplier relationships and leading a small operational team to support continued business growth.

\n

The Role

\n

Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for managing and improving the full supply chain process, ensuring products are sourced, managed and delivered efficiently whilst maintaining excellent service levels.

\n

You will lead a small operational team and be responsible for developing, motivating and supporting colleagues to achieve departmental and business objectives.

\n

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • \n
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate commercially advantageous agreements.
  • \n
  • Manage inventory levels to minimise stock shortages and excess stock.
  • \n
  • Forecast customer demand and support business planning activities.
  • \n
  • Monitor and reduce transport and logistics costs.
  • \n
  • Manage import and export processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • \n
  • Analyse supply chain performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • \n
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • \n
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives across the supply chain function.
  • \n
  • Produce management information and operational reporting to support decision-making.
  • \n

About You

\n
    \n
  • Proven experience in a Supply Chain Manager or similar leadership role.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • \n
  • Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, consumer goods or a related fast-paced environment.
  • \n
  • Previous experience working with international suppliers.
  • \n
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • \n
  • Experience managing inventory, forecasting and logistics operations.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of import/export processes and international supply chains.
  • \n
  • Experience delivering process improvement and automation projects.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • \n
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing teams.
  • \n
  • Advanced IT and data analysis skills.
  • \n
  • Relevant degree and/or CIPS qualification desirable
  • \n
