Debt Recovery SpecialistLocation: BracknellSalary: £20.59 P/HHours: full-time, Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm Contract: this is a fixed-term contract for a 3 months initially, with potential to remain on an extended basis. We are currently recruiting for a Debt Recovery Specialist to join a busy customer-focused team based in Bracknell.You will be responsible for supporting customers who are experiencing financial difficulties, working with them to understand their circumstances and agree appropriate solutions.The role will involve:\n

- Managing a caseload of customers with outstanding rent or property-related payments. \n
- Contacting customers by telephone and other appropriate methods to discuss arrears. \n
- Investigating individual circumstances and negotiating realistic repayment arrangements. \n
- Providing information and signposting customers towards appropriate financial, benefits, debt and employment support. \n
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all customer contact and actions taken. \n
- Working collaboratively with internal teams and external organisations to support positive customer outcomes. \n
- Supporting debt recovery and ensuring agreed targets and performance standards are achieved. \n
- Using knowledge of welfare benefits to help maximise customers' income and identify appropriate support. \n
- Preparing correspondence and maintaining accurate documentation. \n
- Taking appropriate action where debts remain unpaid, in line with relevant policies and procedures. \n
- Ensuring customers receive a consistent, professional and supportive service. \n

- Previous experience working in a customer-focused and target-driven environment. \n
- Knowledge or experience of housing and welfare benefits. \n
- Strong communication and negotiation skills. \n
- The ability to deal sensitively and professionally with customers who may be experiencing financial difficulties. \n
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a caseload and competing priorities. \n
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills. \n
- Good IT skills, including experience using the Microsoft Office suite and databases. \n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. \n
