We are currently working with a leading UK loss assessing business that is continuing to grow its established teams across London and the Home Counties.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Loss Adjuster looking to make the move into Loss Assessing, working directly on behalf of policyholders rather than insurers.

The role offers greater autonomy, a varied caseload and the opportunity to use your existing loss adjusting experience to support clients through what can often be a challenging claims process.

As a Loss Assessor, you will manage a varied portfolio of residential and commercial property claims, supporting policyholders from the initial instruction through to settlement.

Claims can range from approximately £50,000 to £5m+, providing exposure to a wide range of complex and high-value losses.

You will have significant ownership of your caseload while being supported by an experienced back-office team. The role combines home and field-based working, providing flexibility alongside regular client and stakeholder interaction.

• Manage residential and commercial property claims from initial instruction through to settlement.

• Act on behalf of policyholders throughout the claims process.
\n
• Review and assess the circumstances and extent of losses.
\n
• Support clients in understanding their policy cover and entitlements.
\n
• Prepare and manage claims documentation and supporting evidence.
\n
• Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, contractors, surveyors and other relevant professionals.
\n
• Negotiate with insurers to achieve appropriate and fair settlement outcomes.
\n
• Manage a varied caseload independently and ensure claims progress efficiently.
\n
• Maintain regular communication with clients and provide clear updates throughout the claim.
\n
• Handle complex and high-value claims with a professional and methodical approach.
\n
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
\n
• Work closely with the wider team and back-office support function.
\n
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, customer service and professional conduct.
\n

We are keen to hear from experienced Loss Adjusters who are considering a move into Loss Assessing, as well as existing Loss Assessors looking for their next opportunity.

• Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Loss Adjuster.
\n
• Strong understanding of property claims and the loss adjusting process.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Able to manage a large and varied caseload independently.
\n
• Strong client relationship and customer service skills.
\n
• Calm, professional and confident when dealing with challenging situations.
\n
• Methodical, organised and conscientious.
\n
• Adaptable and able to remain effective during periods of increased workload.
\n
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
\n

• Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Loss Adjuster.
\n
• Proven experience managing complex and/or high-value property claims.
\n
• Strong technical knowledge and excellent understanding of the claims process.
\n
• Demonstrable ability to manage a substantial and varied caseload.
\n
• Excellent client management, negotiation and communication skills.
\n
• Confident working autonomously and taking ownership of complex cases.
\n
• Professional, commercially aware and solutions-focused approach.
\n
