Job Description
A successful manufacturing engineering business require a Buyer to join their Procurement team. The Buyer will be responsible for managing day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring material availability, maintaining supplier relationships and supporting the efficient flow of materials across the business. The role will require use of MRP/ERP and MS Excel (proficiency with VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and formulas preferred).
\n\nThe Buyer will join a large and supportive procurement team enjoying a period of growth. Procurement activity will focus on direct commodity areas for manufacturing. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, so the Buyer will collaborate closely with the supply chain to ensure continuity of supply to achieve production schedules.
\n\nKey Responsibilities of the Buyer include:

- Raise and manage purchase orders in line with MRP demand. \n
- Monitor supplier performance and expedite deliveries where required. \n
- Build strong supplier relationships and support capacity planning. \n
- Maintain ERP/MRP master data including lead times and batch sizes. \n
- Resolve supply, delivery, invoicing and documentation issues. \n
- Coordinate subcontract material movements and supplier activities. \n
- Collaborate with Planning, Logistics, Engineering and Quality teams to drive supply chain performance. \n
Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

- Experience in a Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain or Planning role. \n
- Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems. \n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. \n
- Advanced communication and stakeholder management abilities. \n
- Proficiency with MS Excel - Ideally confidence with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and formulas \n
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. \n
