As a Financial Controller for our manufacturing client, you will oversee financial operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. From managing budgets to preparing financial reports, you'll play a key role in helping the business make informed decisions.

  • Lead the preparation of statutory accounts under UK GAAP (FRS 102), ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with relevant reporting requirements.
  • \n
  • Own the month-end and year-end close processes, including review of financial results, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • \n
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, commentary and reporting packs for senior management and group stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Manage group consolidation activities across entities and maintain strong balance sheet integrity and financial controls.
  • \n
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • \n
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, financial controls, automation and data integrity.
  • \n
  • Manage cash flow and implement cost control measures.
  • \n
  • Lead and develop the accounting team to achieve departmental goals.
  • \n
  • Analyse financial performance and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives.
  • \n
  • Handle audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
  • \n

Profile

A successful Financial Controller should have:

\n

  • A strong background in accounting and finance, ideally with experience in the manufacturing sector.
  • \n
  • Professional accounting qualifications (e.g ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • \n
  • Experience in statutory reporting under FRS 102 and group consolidations
  • \n
  • Proven experience in financial planning, analysis and reporting.
  • \n
  • Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • \n
  • Leadership skills to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • \n

Job Offer

  • Salary ranging from £60,000 to £70,000 plus package , dependent on the level of experience.
