Quantity Surveyor

I'm currently working with a well-established civil engineering contractor based in Sheffield who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join an established business with a strong pipeline of work and genuine opportunities for long-term career progression. The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for the commercial management of civils projects from procurement through to final account. Key responsibilities will include: Managing the commercial performance of allocated projects Preparing budgets, forecasts and cost/value reports Subcontract procurement and management Managing valuations, payments and variations Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunities Preparing and agreeing final accounts Managing contractual and commercial matters Working closely with the operational and commercial teams Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers About You My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor with: Experience within civil engineering / infrastructure Strong commercial and contractual knowledge Experience managing subcontract packages Good understanding of cost control, forecasting and final accounts Strong negotiation and communication skills A proactive and commercially minded approach Relevant Quantity Surveying / construction qualifications would be advantageous What's on Offer?
