Reed HR are delighted to be partnering with a growing and forward-thinking HR consultancy in Kent to recruit an experienced HR Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to broaden their experience, gain exposure to a diverse range of clients and industries, and play a key role in delivering high-quality HR support and advice.

Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you will provide practical HR guidance across a variety of employee relations matters, support client projects, and contribute to the continued success of the business.

Key Responsibilities

\n

HR Advisory & Employee Relations

\n
    \n
  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to clients on a range of employee relations matters.
  • \n
  • Support and manage processes including disciplinary, grievance, mediation, appeal, redundancy, and TUPE cases.
  • \n
  • Review meeting notes and provide recommendations on appropriate next steps.
  • \n
\n

Client Management

\n
    \n
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • \n
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client queries via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
  • \n
  • Chair HR meetings, including investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievances, mediations, and appeals.
  • \n
  • Onboard new clients and deliver training on HR systems such as Breathe HR.
  • \n

Documentation & Compliance

\n
    \n
  • Draft employment contracts, policies, disciplinary correspondence, reports, and other HR documentation.
  • \n
  • Develop and improve company processes and procedures.
  • \n
  • Support ISO 9001 documentation requirements and internal audits.
  • \n
\n

Business Operations & Development

\n
    \n
  • Maintain accurate and secure records using systems including Capsule, OneDrive, MeetGeek, and Xero.
  • \n
  • Keep up to date with UK Employment Law developments and HR best practice.
  • \n
  • Attend networking events, seminars, training courses, and professional development opportunities.
  • \n
\n

About You

\n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience within a generalist HR role.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of UK Employment Law and HR best practice.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • \n
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • \n
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • \n
  • A proactive, self-motivated, and professional approach.
  • \n
  • CIPD Level 3 or above (preferred but not essential).
  • \n
