Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company in Sparkford, Somerset for an experienced Welder with TIG welding experience and a background working with stainless steel and/or aluminium.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Welder, TIG Welder, MIG Welder, Fabricator Welder, or Welding Fabricator looking for a long-term position within a busy manufacturing and engineering environment.

The successful candidate will carry out MIG and TIG welding, metal fabrication and assembly, working from engineering drawings and specifications to produce high-quality components and assemblies. This role offers stable employment, regular overtime and the potential to secure a permanent position with a growing manufacturer.

• Carry out MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal components and assemblies.
\n
• Complete welding, fabrication and assembly work in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
\n
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
\n
• Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements and work instructions.
\n
• Complete internal work orders accurately using the company's ERP system.
\n
• Ensure production schedules and work-to lists are achieved.
\n
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised welding and fabrication work area.
\n
• Safely handle materials and operate manual pallet trucks, with training provided.
\n
• Support other production and manufacturing areas when required.
\n
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and team productivity.
\n

• Proven experience as a Welder with MIG and TIG welding experience.
\n
• Previous fabrication experience with the ability to read and work from technical drawings.
\n
• Experience working with stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium would be advantageous.
\n
• Strong understanding of welding techniques, processes and materials.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
\n
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English.
\n
• Relevant welding qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential.
\n
