If you’ve built a strong grounding within accountancy practice but want to move beyond the traditional year end accounts and compliance cycle, this is a genuinely unique opportunity.

Talent Finance are working with a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial advisory business in Poole that works closely with ambitious owner managed businesses, helping them understand their numbers, make better commercial decisions and plan for growth.

You’ll gain exposure to a much broader mix of commercial, strategic and advisory work, whilst keeping the client relationships and variety that make practice interesting.

What will you be doing?

You’ll work directly with business owners across a varied SME portfolio, getting involved in:

• Management accounts and commercial financial analysis
\n
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning
\n
• Improving financial processes, controls and reporting
\n
• Supporting business planning, growth and operational projects
\n
• Identifying opportunities to improve business performance
\n
• Exit planning, including MBO and trade sale projects
\n
• Building trusted relationships and becoming a key point of contact for clients
\n

About you

A strong accountancy practice training background is essential.

We’re particularly interested in people who have trained within a mid tier or strong independent practice where you’ve gained broad, hands on exposure across accounts and business services, rather than working solely within audit.

You’ll ideally have experience preparing management accounts, working directly with SME or owner managed clients and understanding the wider commercial picture behind the numbers.

You may still be in practice, or you may have already moved into industry and be looking for something with more variety and client exposure.

ACA or ACCA qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience can all be considered.
