HGV Technician

We are currently recruiting for the position of Night Shift HGV Technician on behalf of a leading UK automotive dealer group. Our client requires a skilled and experienced Night Shift HGV Technician to join their state-of-the-art commercial vehicle dealership located in Andover, Hampshire. • Salary between £18.50 and £21.50 per hour, dependent on experience

Duties of a Night Shift HGV Technician:\n

\n
• Conducting servicing and maintenance of various HGVs across the client's fleet
\n
• Diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults and executing repairs
\n
• Performing warranty-approved work following brand specifications
\n
• Carrying out Department of Transport (MOT) testing where qualified
\n
• Completing electronic job cards and write-ups via franchise platforms
\n
• Conducting electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs)
\n
• Providing support and guidance to Apprentice Technicians as required
\n

Requirements of a Night Shift HGV Technician:\n

• Qualification to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
\n
• Several years of relevant experience beyond qualification preferred
\n
• Strong commitment to high-quality workmanship
\n
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
\n
• Capable of producing accurate work in a busy workshop setting
\n
• Motivation to meet and exceed team targets
\n
