Project Manager - Social Housing (Development & Capital Investment)Location: South YorkshireSalary: £45,000 - £62,000 + BenefitsJob Type: Permanent, Full-TimeThe OpportunityA well-established and growing organisation within the social housing sector is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Development and Capital Investment team in South Yorkshire.This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering a diverse portfolio of housing improvement, refurbishment and development projects that directly impact local communities. You will oversee projects from inception through to completion, ensuring programmes are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.The RoleReporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for managing a range of capital investment and development schemes across residential housing stock.Key responsibilities include:Managing the delivery of planned capital investment programmes and development projects.Overseeing refurbishment, retrofit, decarbonisation and asset improvement works.Managing consultants, contractors and supply chain partners.Monitoring project budgets, forecasts and programme performance.Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and statutory requirements.Leading project meetings and providing progress reports to key stakeholders.Managing risk, quality assurance and project governance processes.Supporting procurement activities and contract administration.Collaborating closely with internal teams including Asset Management, Development, Finance and Procurement.About YouWe are looking for a proactive and commercially aware Project Manager with experience delivering projects within social housing, local authority or residential environments.Requirements:Proven experience managing construction, refurbishment or capital investment projects.Knowledge of social housing, residential development or property investment programmes.Strong project planning, budget management and stakeholder engagement skills.Understanding of construction contracts and contractor management.Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication and organisational abilities.Full UK driving licence.Desirable:Relevant construction, project management or surveying qualification.Knowledge of retrofit, sustainability and decarbonisation programmes.Experience working within a housing association or local authority environment.What's On Offer?Salary between £45,000 and £62,000Generous annual leave entitlementPension schemeHybrid and flexible working arrangementsProfessional development and training opportunitiesThe chance to work on projects that make a genuine difference to communities across South YorkshireWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
