If you take pride in a job well done, enjoy working as part of a supportive team and are always looking for ways to improve, we'd love to hear from you.We're currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Road Surfacing Operative to join our Contracting team based at Dolyhir, located in Presteigne close to Hereford in Herefordshire, covering projects across MidWales.This role is easily accessible fromHay on Wye, Ludlow, Leominster, Llandrindod Wells,Newtownand the surrounding areasWe'recommitted to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can bring their whole selves to work and thrive.Whatyou'llbe doingReporting to the Gang Team Leader, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality road surfacing projects across highways, airfields and local road networks.As a Multi Skilled Road Surfacing Operative ,you'll:Operate a range of plant and equipment associated with road surfacing, including pavers, rollers, tractors and chippersWork with hot coated materials safely and efficientlyLay coated materials to specification and within required tolerancesCarry out routine plant maintenance and maintain excellent housekeeping standardsChampion a culture of Zero Harm, behavioural safety and continuous improvementPromote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance on siteWork collaboratively as part of a high-performing surfacing teamWhatwe'relooking forWe'reseeking an experienced road surfacing professional who is motivated, safety-focused and enjoys working as part of a team.You'llideally have:Previous experience within the road surfacing industryExperience working on highways, A roads, motorways and/or airfield projectsExperience laying asphalt and coated materialsPlant operating experience with relevant tickets and qualificationsA CSCS card (preferred)Strong communication and teamwork skillsA flexible approach to working hours and project requirementsThe ability to work independently when requiredA full UK drivinglicenceA strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standardsWhy join Tarmac?Join a business where people matter, development is encouraged and every role contributes to building the infrastructure that keeps the UK moving.
