Job Description

Data Analyst – Fund Management | London | Competitive + Bonus

\n

\n

SQL | Python | Data Visualisation (Power BI / Tableau) | Data Warehousing (Snowflake / Databricks)

\n

\n

Our client, a leading US private markets fund manager, is looking for a Data Analyst to join its London office and play a central role in building modern data and analytics capability across the business. This is a hands-on technical role where your SQL, Python, data visualisation, and cloud data warehousing skills will be used daily — and developed further.

\n

\n

The role:

\n

Sitting at the intersection of the commercial business and technology, you'll design and deliver the data infrastructure, analytics, and reporting that drive client-facing and sales decision-making. Day to day you will:

\n
    \n
  • Write and optimise SQL against a Snowflake cloud data warehouse, working across multiple source systems (CRM, sales, client, product, and flows data)
  • \n
  • Use Python for analysis, automation of data retrieval and transformation, and prototyping new solutions
  • \n
  • Build and maintain polished, well-governed dashboards and data models in Power BI / Tableau that give stakeholders genuine decision-grade insight
  • \n
  • Support the development of scalable data pipelines and infrastructure, helping move the business beyond static reporting into automated, workflow-embedded intelligence
  • \n
  • Identify and remediate data quality issues, championing governance, consistency, and structured data classification
  • \n
  • Partner with sales, client-facing, and technology teams — translating commercial problems into practical data solutions and explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • \n
\n

\n

The role requires:

\n
    \n
  • Strong SQL — confident querying, joining, and modelling data, ideally in a cloud platform such as Snowflake (or Databricks/similar)
  • \n
  • Working knowledge of Python for analytics and automation
  • \n
  • Hands-on data visualisation experience with Power BI or Tableau, including data modelling and building scalable, performant datasets
  • \n
  • Data warehousing experience — understanding of pipeline design, transformation, and working across multiple source systems
  • \n
  • Experience gained as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role; backgrounds ranging from a few years' experience through to established analysts will be considered
  • \n
  • Financial services / asset management exposure is a plus, not a prerequisite — as is any experience with AI-assisted analytics or ML use cases
  • \n
  • A proactive, curious mindset with strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • \n
  • Degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics or similar) preferred
  • \n
\n

\n

What's on offer:

\n

Hybrid working, generous holiday, strong health and wellbeing benefits, paid volunteering, professional development and qualification support, and genuine scope to shape how data, analytics, and AI are used across a growing function.
