This Commercial Legal Adviser role in the business services industry will see you handling a variety of legal matters to support the smooth running of operations. It's a permanent position where you'll play a key part in ensuring compliance and managing commercial contracts.

\nOur Client is recruiting for a role within the business services industry in Birmingham.
\nDescription
\nReporting to the Head of Legal Services, you will provide legal and administrative support across a broad range of contractual matters. Key responsibilities include:

- Managing a varied caseload of low to medium complexity contractual matters. \n
- Advising internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, risks and compliance requirements. \n
- Identifying legal and commercial risks and recommending practical mitigation strategies. \n
- Liaising with internal departments and external organisations to obtain information and progress legal matters. \n
- Maintaining accurate contract records and supporting contract life cycle management processes. \n
- Coordinating contract execution processes and ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained. \n
- Providing administrative and operational support to the wider Legal Services team. \n
- Assisting senior legal colleagues with meetings, note-taking and project-based work where required. \n
Profile
\nThe ideal candidate will have:
\n- \n
- Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. \n
- A legal qualification, law degree, paralegal background or equivalent relevant experience is desirable. \n
- Experience within an in-house legal team, professional services environment or regulated organisation would be advantageous. \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to contract administration. \n
- Knowledge of contractual risk identification and practical risk mitigation. \n
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. \n
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage at all levels. \n
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team. \n
