A large independent food manufacturer is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance / Packaging Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

Monday to Friday – No Nights & No Weekends

The of role operates on a straightforward double-day shift pattern:

  • Week 1: Monday–Friday, 6am–2pm
  • \n
  • Week 2: Monday–Friday, 1pm–9pm
  • \n
  • NO night shifts or weekend working
  • \n
\n

Key Responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer

\n
    \n
  • Maintain production and packaging equipment to maximise uptime.
  • \n
  • Complete planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • \n
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
  • \n
  • Monitor equipment performance and take corrective action.
  • \n
  • Respond effectively to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
  • \n
  • Support engineering projects, installations and equipment modifications.
  • \n
  • Work closely with production to maintain safe and efficient operations.
  • \n
\n

Experience Required:

\n
    \n
  • Qualified Maintenance Engineer – C&G, NVQ Level 3, ONC/HNC or equivalent.
  • \n
  • Multi-skilled mechanical and electrical experience, ideally electrically biased.
  • \n
  • Ideally apprenticeship trained.
  • \n
  • Proactive approach to fault finding and problem solving.
  • \n
  • Confident working independently when required.
  • \n
  • Food manufacturing experience advantageous.
  • \n
\n

The role would suit engineers based in South Nottingham, North Leicestershire or around Melton Mowbray.
