Shift Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday, consisting of two 8-hour shifts

The Greater Manchester Region employs around 2,500 individuals and encompasses Manchester Memorial Hospital, a community hospital with 249 beds, Rockville General, a 102-bed facility that is part of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a large multispecialty provider group, and visiting nurse services. This region caters to approximately 300,000 residents across 19 towns.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

By employing the nursing process, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care both directly and indirectly. You will coordinate care by collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. It is essential to communicate the patient's clinical status appropriately and respond swiftly and accurately to any changes in their condition or treatment response. You will demonstrate an understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan, ensuring age-appropriate care for the patient population. Additionally, you will promote the nursing profession and professional practice through supportive interactions with colleagues. This position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.


Qualifications

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold a current nursing license in the State of Connecticut.

  • Must possess Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications upon hire or obtain them during the introductory orientation period, maintaining clinical competency throughout employment in this role.

SKILLS:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English are required.

  • Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
