Quick Facts Location: 320 Hospital Drive, Martinsville, VA 24112 Start Date: 08/03/2026 End Date: 07/31/2027 Shift: 4 days/week (8-10 hours/day, pending patient volume) Hours/Week: 32-40 Employment Type: Full-Time Licensure: Valid medical license in Virginia preferred Experience: Minimum prior experience in Hematology/Oncology preferred Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (note: pay details discussed upon application) Weekly Pay Schedule: Via Direct Deposit Benefits: Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Paid time off and holiday pay (if applicable) Apartment available for relocating providers What You’ll Do Provide specialized Hematology and Oncology care to adult patients Manage a patient load of 12-15 patients per day in a busy oncology center Participate in light call coverage (phone only, typically 2-5 times per week) for established patients Collaborate with a team of three permanent providers and support staff Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for Oncology and Hematology cases Document clinical notes and coordinate patient care effectively Engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and team meetings What You Need Required: Valid medical license in Virginia or eligible for licensure Board certification or eligibility in Hematology & Oncology 2+ years of relevant clinical experience (preferred) Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred: Long-term commitment and ability to drive or commute within district Experience working in a multidisciplinary oncology setting About the Assignment This opportunity is at a respected healthcare facility in Martinsville, Virginia, providing comprehensive Hematology and Oncology services.
