Position Overview

1. Examinations
Conducts standard MRI procedures, both on a scheduled and urgent basis. Evaluates requests for MR imaging by extracting relevant information from patient records to assess the suitability of the prescribed procedure based on the diagnosis and clinical indicators for routine assessments. Ensures patient identification in accordance with hospital protocols using two identifiers. Chooses the correct equipment and technical settings to visualize both pathological and normal anatomy. Evaluates the physical and emotional condition of patients and their guardians, tailoring a care plan to meet individual needs. Clearly explains the examination process and addresses any inquiries from patients and their families regarding the procedure and the magnetic field environment. Adheres to MR Quality Control and Data Integrity workflows. Engages in High Reliability Training, consistently delivering outstanding care and service.

2. Patient/Family Relations
Acknowledges the individuality of each patient, fostering a nurturing atmosphere for both the patient and their family.

3. Equipment
Detects and reports any equipment issues using the INeedit application.

4. Operations
Aids in the organization and upkeep of daily operational tasks.

5. General
Actively participates in departmental and hospital meetings. Adheres to ETU guidelines and complies with HIPAA regulations. Embodies the organization’s six core values: excellence, innovation, communication, respect, teamwork, and accountability.

6. Professional Development
Completes all necessary competencies and documentation accurately and promptly. Keeps licensure, certification, and registration current in departmental records. Pursues ongoing professional education and stays informed about current regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
