Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity providing school-based speech-language pathology support to K–5 students in specialized ASD and Severe/Profound classrooms. In this contract position based near Alto, GA, you will collaborate with educators, participate in IEP meetings, monitor student progress, and help shape meaningful outcomes for a diverse student population. Full-time hours are available up to 37.5 per week, with the possibility to consider part-time applicants. The assignment begins ASAP and runs through the end of the current or upcoming school year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Speech-Language Pathology license
- Active Georgia Educator Certificate
- Open to Clinical Fellows; seasoned professionals also encouraged
- Onsite availability (remote roles are not offered)
- Experience working in school settings, especially with ASD and Severe/Profound caseloads, is a plus
- Participation in IEP development, progress monitoring, and Medicaid documentation
- Reliable transportation to the school site
What You'll Be Doing:
- Deliver direct speech therapy to students within ASD and Severe/Profound K–5 classrooms
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs
- Monitor and document progress; contribute to Medicaid billing as needed
- Engage in regular communication with staff and families to support student development
- Uphold professional and ethical standards in a dynamic, school-based environment
