\nJOB TITLE:
\nIndustrial Wastewater Technician
\nRATE RANGE:
\n$23.00 - $27.00 based on experience and license.
\nHOURS:
\n2:00pm - 10:00pm Monday - Friday. Overtime as needed.

\nJOB DUTIES:
\nTo encompass the following but not limited to:
\n- \n
- Operate and monitor various equipment and machinery used in wastewater treatment processes, such as valves, pumps, filters, and chemical dosing systems. \n
- Monitor and inspect wastewater treatment processes to ensure proper functioning and adherence to quality standards. Includes checking pH levels, flow rates, and other key parameters. \n
- Hazardous waste duties including inspections, shipping, training and maintaining storage areas to ensure compliance. \n
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems in the treatment system and make necessary repairs. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning equipment, replacing worn out parts, and conducting preventative maintenance. \n
- Handle and apply chemicals used in wastewater treatment such as biocides, coagulants, and pH adjusting agents. Maintain adequate inventory of chemicals needed for processes. \n
- Collect samples of wastewater at different stages of the treatment process. They perform various tests and analyses, including chemical and biological tests. \n
- Maintain detailed logs of process parameters, test results, equipment maintenance, and any incidents or deviations. \n
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and wastewater treatment permits. \n
- Work as part of a team, collaborating with other operators, engineers, and supervisors to optimize system performance. \n
- Maintain and operate reverse osmosis system. \n
- Maintain facility chiller water systems by testing and adding inhibitor and biocide chemicals. \n
REQUIRED:

- Obtain and/or maintain proper wastewater level II license. \n
- Reliable and punctual; consistently arrives on time and ready to work. \n
- Strong mechanical aptitude. \n
- Communicates clearly and professionally with team members. \n
- Works effectively both independently and as part of a team. \n
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. \n
PREFERRED:

- Completion of vocational training in machine shop. \n
- Previous work experience in same or similar field. \n
