Structural Steel Ironworker – Industrial Project Opportunity

We’re seeking experienced Structural Steel Ironworkers to join our team on a large-scale industrial project. This role involves erecting and securing the steel framework for a key process structure. It’s important work that requires skill, focus, and a commitment to safety.

Pay $35/hr Per Diem $150/day for DAYS WORKED

\n

Day Shift

Duration about a month long

Core Responsibilities & Duties

\n
    \n
  • Erecting and Assembling Steel Frameworks:
  • \n
\n

      Raise, place, and join steel girders, columns, and other structural members to form the framework of buildings, and similar structures.

\n
    \n
  • Reading Blueprints and Specifications:
  • \n
\n

      Interpret architectural plans to determine the location, size, and quantity of materials needed for construction.

\n
    \n
  • Connecting Steel Components:
  • \n
\n

      Secure steel members into position using bolts, wire, or welding to create a permanent, strong connection.

\n
    \n
  • Operating Construction Equipment:
  • \n
\n

      Coordinate with crane operators, supervisors, and fellow crew members to keep the job moving efficiently.

\n
    \n
  • Fabricating and Cutting Metal:
  • \n
\n

      Ironworkers cut, shape, and assemble metal components to fit specific needs on the project.

\n

Safety and Site Management

\n
    \n
  • Working at Heights:
  • \n
\n

      A significant part of the job involves working at considerable heights, requiring good balance and physical strength.

\n

      Work safely at heights with proper fall protection and rigging techniques.

\n
    \n
  • Ensuring Safety Protocols:
  • \n
\n

      Must follow all safety protocols and governmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

\n
    \n
  • Dismantling Temporary Structures:
  • \n
\n

      After your primary function is complete, ironworkers also dismantle cranes, derricks, and other temporary equipment and remove them from the site.

\n

Additional Tasks

  • Maintenance:
  • \n
\n

      Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.

\n

Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in steel erection on industrial or large commercial projects.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in rigging and bolting; welding certification is a strong plus.
  • \n
  • Ability to read and interpret steel blueprints.
  • \n
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
  • \n
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a crew.
  • \n
