Caseload: Approximately 20 students

Position Overview

We are seeking a School Psychologist for a full-time, onsite position supporting students at the elementary level in East Lyme, Connecticut.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a School Psychologist who enjoys working directly with students while supporting their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. The caseload is approximately 20 students and will include a combination of counseling and evaluation responsibilities.

  • Responsibilities include both counseling and evaluations

Responsibilities

The School Psychologist will:

  • Conduct psychological and educational evaluations
  • Participate in initial and reevaluation processes
  • Provide individual and/or small-group counseling support
  • Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
  • Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Provide consultation and recommendations based on evaluation findings
  • Help develop and implement appropriate interventions and student support strategies

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should possess:

  • Appropriate Connecticut School Psychologist certification/licensure
  • Strong assessment, evaluation, and counseling skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, and school staff
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred
