Our organization operates Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) that offer:

• Long-term care: Support for residents needing ongoing skilled assistance and compassionate daily care.

Position Overview

The COTA Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant delivers direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy to patients based on physician referrals, under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT), while adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program (ASOT)
• Preferred: One year of experience in a post-acute care or similar setting
• Engagement in community health initiatives/projects as appropriate
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication
• Ability to liaise effectively with patients, families, and support departments
• Knowledgeable about practices, procedures, and regulations governing post-acute care facilities
• Ability to implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
• Proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information
• Understanding and adherence to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
• Demonstration of integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing mandatory compliance training
• Effective use of therapy software
• Exemplary customer service skills and a positive attitude towards patients
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language
