Clinical Social Worker, LICSW, BCHNP, TAP Program 40 hrs.

Position Overview

Our organization operates a school-based behavioral health initiative known as the Neighborhood Partnerships program, which is part of the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. This program emphasizes prevention strategies that are culturally sensitive, adaptable, and grounded in evidence. We collaborate with educational institutions and districts to develop and maintain comprehensive behavioral health frameworks that enhance the social, emotional, behavioral, and academic success of students, families, staff, and the broader school community.

This role is situated within the Training and Access Project (TAP), an initiative that collaborates with Boston Public Schools and various educational communities across Massachusetts and the nation. The focus is on enhancing capacity to support social-emotional learning and behavioral health through professional development and consultation. It is important to note that this position does not involve direct clinical services to students; instead, it centers on providing professional development and consultation to diverse school communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating, leading, and assessing professional development programs for educational professionals in Boston and surrounding areas.
• Collaborating and actively participating as a member of the TAP team.
• Developing and co-facilitating both live and online workshops, as well as asynchronous video content, focused on topics related to social-emotional and behavioral health tailored to the needs of school-based providers and educators.
• Receiving guidance and coaching in the design and facilitation of workshops aimed at school audiences.
• Creating supplementary resources and materials to enhance training sessions.
• Potentially consulting with schools and districts on professional learning opportunities and conducting workshops for community organizations.

Minimum QualificationsEducation

• Master’s degree in social work.

Experience

• A minimum of several years of social work experience in school-based behavioral health is required, with a preference for 5+ years. Experience in diverse urban school environments is highly regarded.
• Proven track record in designing and delivering professional development, teaching, presenting, or co-facilitating training sessions for K–12 audiences, with a strong commitment to developing materials through a social justice and equity perspective.
• Interest or experience in a macro role focused on training development across various formats, including in-person and virtual settings.
• Excellent writing, facilitation, and communication abilities.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, effectively communicating to resolve issues and achieve project goals.

Licensure

LICSW in Massachusetts is required.
