Job Description

Qualifications:
- Current and valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement is required
- Demonstrated experience or understanding of IEP process and special education best practices
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse needs and learning styles
- Strong collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff
- Enthusiasm for working primarily with elementary students, with occasional middle school involvement
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with varying needs
- Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor progress and adjust supports as necessary
- Create a safe, positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth
