Quick Facts Location: 700 South Park Street, Madison, WI 53715 Start Date: 12/21/2026 End Date: 03/22/2027 Shift: Night shifts, 5x8-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 3:00 AM) Hours/week: 40 hours Employment Type: Contract Licenses/Certifications: WI State License, BLS, ACLS, DEA Experience: 2+ years in cardiothoracic surgery, first assist experience in CVOR Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $141.96 per hour Benefits: Competitive pay package Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable 24/7 dedicated support team throughout your assignment What You’ll Do Assist in cardiothoracic surgeries including complex procedures such as aortic dissections Support surgical teams in the operating room and during on-call periods Collaborate with surgeons, RNs, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Document procedures efficiently using Epic EMR Prepare and operate specialized equipment, including robotic surgical systems Provide first assist support in adult cardiothoracic cases Participate in patient care before, during, and after procedures What You Need Active WI State License; willing to license if needed 2+ years cardiothoracic surgery experience with a minimum of 1 year as a first assist in CVOR Certification in BLS, ACLS, DEA Comfortable with advanced cardiac procedures and thoracic surgeries Ability to work full-time on a flexible night schedule Strong communication and teamwork skills About the Assignment Join a leading facility in Madison, WI, renowned for its innovative cardiothoracic surgery program.
