Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Surgery Scheduler to coordinate surgical scheduling and manage required facility documentation. The role involves overseeing patient intake and acting as a liaison between physicians and facility staff, ensuring efficient scheduling and rescheduling of procedures.
Location: South Denver, CO (and one day a week in their Lakewood location) *this role is fully on-site*
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates surgical scheduling and manages all required facility documentation and clinical paperwork.
- Facilitates end-to-end patient intake, capturing demographic and insurance data to minimize call transfers and improve administrative efficiency.
- Acts as a primary liaison between physicians and facility staff to schedule, reschedule, or cancel procedures via designated protocols.
- Manages urgent "add-on" cases by alerting relevant departments and processing reservations within strict timeframes.
- Directs high-volume communications, responding to inquiries via phone, intercom, and in-person regarding OR availability and scheduling.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of surgery scheduling experience
- Proficient EMR Experience
Skills
- Technical skills: EMR Experience, EPIC (preferred)
Schedule/ Shift: M-F 8-5
Pay: $20-28/ hour
