Python Developer - AI & Automation - London (Hybrid) - Up to £50,000

We're working with a growing technology-led consultancy that is investing heavily in AI, automation and internally developed applications.

As the business continues to scale, they are looking for a Python Developer to help build, enhance and support a growing portfolio of internal tools, automations and AI-driven solutions. This role would suit someone who enjoys building practical solutions, automating processes and solving real-world business problems. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, helping turn ideas into applications and tools that improve efficiency, productivity and user experience.

You'll remain hands-on technically while gaining exposure to AI technologies, application ownership and solution design within a collaborative and fast-moving environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building and enhancing internal applications, automation solutions and AI-powered tools.
\n
• Developing integrations between internal systems, SaaS platforms and third-party APIs.
\n
• Working directly with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate requirements into practical solutions.
\n
• Creating tools that improve internal processes, efficiency and user experience.
\n
• Investigating and resolving issues across applications, integrations and automations.
\n
• Exploring emerging AI technologies and identifying opportunities to drive business value.
\n
• Supporting and improving existing internal applications throughout their lifecycle.
\n
• Contributing to development standards, documentation and best practices.
\n
• Working closely with both technical and non-technical teams across the business.
\n

What We're Looking For

\n
• Commercial experience developing with Python.
\n
• Experience building applications, automations, integrations or internal tooling.
\n
• Experience working with APIs and connecting systems together.
\n
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
\n
• An interest in AI, automation and emerging technologies.
\n
• Someone who enjoys understanding business problems and building practical solutions.
\n
• Confidence working directly with users and stakeholders.
\n
• A proactive, pragmatic approach and a willingness to take ownership.
\n

Nice to Have

\n
• JavaScript experience.
\n
• Exposure to Power Platform, Power Apps or Power Automate.
\n
• Experience with Microsoft 365 technologies.
\n
• PowerShell scripting experience.
\n
• Exposure to AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude or similar.
\n
• Knowledge of SharePoint, Dataverse or Entra ID.
\n
