W&A is supporting a global organisation in appointing a Payroll Transformation Lead for a two-year fixed-term contract, based just outside Glasgow, with hybrid working.
\nSitting at the heart of a major Finance Transformation programme, you'll lead a high-profile workstream focused on creating a more consistent, scalable and well-controlled global payroll operating model.
\nThe Opportunity
\nThis is a high-impact role within a wider Finance Transformation programme, with responsibility for helping shape the future of payroll across the organisation.
\nYou'll lead the payroll workstream, bringing together people, processes and technology to create a more consistent and efficient approach. Working with stakeholders across the business, you'll turn transformation priorities into practical plans and help ensure change is delivered effectively.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Lead the payroll workstream within a major transformation programme. \n
- Help shape and improve end-to-end payroll processes and ways of working. \n
- Develop clear plans, priorities and longer-term payroll initiatives. \n
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, and improve payroll processes. \n
- Support payroll-related systems and technology change. \n
- Manage key risks, dependencies and delivery priorities. \n
- Develop meaningful payroll KPIs and performance measures. \n
- Build strong relationships across Finance, HR and the wider business. \n
- Champion effective change and continuous improvement. \n
What You'll Bring

- Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge and experience. \n
- Experience within payroll transformation, change or process improvement. \n
- Exposure to ERP or payroll systems change would be beneficial. \n
- An ability to turn complex requirements into practical solutions. \n
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. \n
- A collaborative approach with the confidence to challenge and drive change. \n
- Experience in a global or complex organisation would be advantageous. \n
