\nWe are working with a growing and ambitious education organisation that is looking to appoint an exceptional Head of Business School to lead the strategic development, academic quality and continued growth of its Business Management provision.
\nThis is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced education professional who can combine academic leadership with commercial awareness, curriculum development and a strong focus on student outcomes.
\nYou will have the opportunity to shape the future direction of the Business School, develop new programmes, build valuable industry partnerships and lead a talented academic team.
\n\nThe Role
\nReporting to the CEO, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the Business Management portfolio.
\nYou will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality education, maintaining strong academic standards and developing programmes that reflect the changing needs of modern business, leadership, management and enterprise.
\nYou will play a key role in identifying new opportunities for growth, developing courses and partnerships, improving student outcomes and ensuring the Business School continues to meet the needs of both students and employers.
\nThis is an exciting role for someone who wants to make a real impact within a growing education environment, with the autonomy to influence strategy and shape future provision.
\n\nKey Responsibilities
\nStrategic Leadership
\nDevelop and deliver the strategic direction for the Business School.
\nLead the growth and development of Business Management provision.
\nIdentify new market opportunities and emerging education and business trends.
\nDevelop new programmes and areas of provision.
\nContribute to wider organisational strategy and senior leadership decisions.
\n\nAcademic Quality & Student Experience
\nTake responsibility for teaching quality, academic standards and student outcomes.
\nEnsure programmes remain relevant, engaging and aligned with employer requirements.
\nDrive continuous improvement across the student journey.
\nUse performance and student data to identify opportunities for improvement.
\nPromote an inclusive, accessible and high-quality learning environment.
\n\nCurriculum & Innovation
\nLead curriculum development across Business Management and related subjects.
\nIdentify opportunities for innovative and flexible approaches to education.
\nEncourage industry-focused and practical learning.
\nDevelop programmes that support employability, progression and career opportunities.
\n\nPeople Leadership
\nLead, motivate and develop academic teams.
\nCreate a positive, high-performing and accountable culture.
\nSupport the development of senior academic staff.
\nOversee workforce planning and effective use of resources.
\n\nCommercial & Operational Leadership
\nManage budgets and ensure financial sustainability.
\nIdentify opportunities to grow student numbers and expand provision.
\nEnsure resources are used effectively.
\nRespond to changes in the education market and student demand.
\n\nIndustry & External Partnerships
\nBuild strong relationships with employers, universities, professional organisations and business networks.
\nDevelop opportunities for work experience, placements and employer engagement.
\nStrengthen the profile and reputation of the Business School.
\nEnsure education provision reflects real-world business needs.
\n\nGovernance & Compliance
\nMaintain high standards of academic governance and quality assurance.
\nEnsure compliance with relevant education regulations and frameworks.
\nSupport effective risk management, safeguarding and health & safety.
\nContribute to internal quality assurance and governance processes.
\n\nAbout You
\nWe are looking for an experienced and credible senior education leader who can demonstrate:
\nSenior leadership experience within higher education, further education, business education or a related environment.
\nA strong background in Business Management, Business, Leadership, Enterprise, Digital Business or a related discipline.
\nA PhD or equivalent qualification.
\nA strong academic or professional profile.
\nProven experience leading growth, change or organisational improvement.
\nExperience managing budgets, resources and teams.
\nExperience working within a regulated or accredited education environment.
\nStrong understanding of academic quality and student outcomes.
\nExcellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
\nThe ability to develop strong relationships with employers and external partners.
\nA genuine passion for delivering high-quality education and improving outcomes for students.
\nDesirable Experience
\n\nIt would be advantageous if you have:
\nExperience leading a large or multidisciplinary academic team.
\nProfessorial or equivalent professional standing.
\nExperience developing new education programmes or expanding academic provision.
\nExperience working with regulatory, quality or professional accreditation frameworks.
\nA successful track record of developing partnerships with universities, employers or professional organisations.
\nExperience of driving commercial growth within an education environment.
