Location: Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire (Depot: Beeston, Nottingham NG9)Pay Rate: £17.56 per hour PAYE / £22.62 per hour UmbrellaContract: Temporary Agency Assignment – 3 MonthsHours: Full Time, Monday to FridayStart Date: Immediate Start Available (subject to interview and pre-employment checks)
\nWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworker to join a leading Property Services team on a 3-month temporary contract.
\nWorking from the Beeston depot, you will cover properties throughout Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, undertaking a variety of groundworks, repairs and maintenance activities. This role requires a skilled and safety-conscious individual who can deliver high-quality work to occupied and void residential properties.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Carry out a range of groundworks, repairs and maintenance works. \n
- Complete paving, slabbing and block paving works. \n
- Undertake concreting works including paths, patios, steps and hard standings. \n
- Carry out drainage repairs and replacements, including clay and UPVC underground drainage systems. \n
- Complete excavations and reinstatement works in line with regulations. \n
- Install and repair fencing including concrete and timber posts, panels and close board fencing. \n
- Undertake brickwork and pointing repairs. \n
- Conduct pre-start risk assessments and work safely at all times. \n
- Maintain tools, equipment, vehicle stock and associated documentation. \n
- Ensure properties are left safe, secure and weather-tight following works. \n
Essential Requirements
\n- \n
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Groundworks or a relevant construction trade. \n
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence. \n
- Experience in:\n
- \n
- Paving, slabbing and block paving. \n
- Concreting and shuttering works. \n
- Underground drainage repairs and replacements. \n
- Excavation and reinstatement works. \n
- Fencing installation and repairs. \n
- Brickwork and pointing repairs. \n
\n - Good understanding of excavation safety and site safety standards. \n
- Ability to read construction drawings. \n
- Strong communication and teamwork skills. \n
- Willingness to undertake a Standard DBS Check. \n
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
\n- \n
- CAT Scanning. \n
- Helifix wall tie replacement. \n
- Installation of concrete and steel lintels. \n
- Rendering and blockwork. \n
- Mini Excavator and Dumper licences. \n
- Asbestos Awareness certification. \n
- Abrasive Wheel Training. \n
- Experience working within Social Housing or Property Maintenance environments. \n
