Job Title: Domiciliary Care Worker
\nReports To: Registered Manager / Domiciliary Lead
\nLocation: Clients' Homes / Community
Job Purpose\nRight to Work: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. We are currently unable to offer Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
\nTo provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care and support to Clients in their own homes, promoting dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.
\nCare Workers are responsible for delivering care in accordance with the Client's care plan, risk assessments, PS4U policies and procedures, and their training and competency.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Provide person-centred personal care and support according to individual care plans. \n
- Support Clients with personal hygiene, dressing, continence, mobility, nutrition and hydration. \n
- Support with meal preparation, light domestic tasks and other agreed activities identified in the care plan. \n
- Promote independence and encourage Clients to do as much as possible for themselves. \n
- Maintain dignity, privacy, choice and respect at all times. \n
- Observe and report changes in a Client's physical health, mental wellbeing, behaviour or circumstances. \n
- Report safeguarding concerns, incidents, accidents and risks immediately to the management team. \n
- Maintain accurate and timely care records and complete all required documentation. \n
- Follow medication procedures where trained and assessed as competent. \n
- Follow infection prevention, health and safety, moving and handling and lone-working procedures. \n
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times. \n
- Work positively with colleagues, families and other health and social care professionals. \n
- Attend all allocated care calls punctually and remain for the required duration. \n
- Follow the rota and notify management promptly of any absence or inability to attend a scheduled call. \n
- Use equipment and PPE safely and report any defects, shortages or concerns. \n
- Participate fully in induction, supervision, mandatory training and competency assessments. \n
Every Care Worker has a responsibility to protect Clients from abuse, neglect and avoidable harm.
\nCare Workers must speak up and escalate concerns and must never ignore, conceal or falsify information.
\nCare Workers must maintain appropriate professional boundaries, confidentiality and conduct at all times.

Desirable

- Previous domiciliary or social care experience. \n
- Care Certificate or Level 2/3 Health & Social Care qualification. \n
- Experience supporting people with complex care needs. \n
- Experience with medication, moving and handling or other relevant care skills. \n
