About the Role\n
\nWe are looking for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join our production team in Sparkford.\n
\n You'll be responsible for fabricating and welding a range of components from stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium, working from engineering drawings to produce high-quality assemblies. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, attention to detail and teamwork are key.\n
Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • \n
  • Measure, prepare and assemble components ready for welding
  • \n
  • Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard
  • \n
  • Set up welding equipment and select the correct welding method for each job
  • \n
  • Align and fabricate components to specification
  • \n
  • Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards are met
  • \n
  • Complete work orders accurately using the company's ERP system
  • \n
  • Follow production schedules and work to daily priorities
  • \n
  • Carry out routine equipment checks and maintain a safe working environment
  • \n
  • Support continuous improvement across the production team
  • \n
  • Assist with other production duties when required
  • \n
About You\n

You'll have:\n

  • Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding
  • \n
  • Experience welding stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium
  • \n
  • Fabrication experience, including reading engineering drawings and assembling components
  • \n
  • Knowledge of appropriate welding materials and techniques
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • \n
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • \n
  • A proactive approach with excellent timekeeping and attendance
  • \n
Desirable\n
    \n
  • Welding qualifications or professional certification
  • \n
  • Knowledge of metallurgy
  • \n

Physical Requirements
This is a physically active role within a busy manufacturing environment. You'll need a good level of fitness to safely carry out manual handling tasks, operate welding equipment and remain productive throughout the working day.\n
