We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller & Programmer.

The Role:

\n

This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision-engineered components safely, efficiently and accurately.

\n

Programming experience is essential for this role.

\n

What You'll Be Doing:

\n
    \n
  • Create, edit and optimise CNC milling programmes using CAD/CAM software and machine controls
  • \n
  • Produce first-off components to engineering drawing specifications
  • \n
  • Modify and improve existing programmes to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency
  • \n
  • Maintain programme documentation and backups
  • \n
\n

Setting & Operating:

\n
    \n
  • Set and operate CNC milling machines
  • \n
  • Select appropriate tooling and fixtures
  • \n
  • Manufacture one-off and batch components to tight tolerances
  • \n
  • Carry out tool changes, offsets and machine adjustments
  • \n
\n

Quality:

\n
    \n
  • Inspect components using precision measuring equipment, including verniers, micrometers, bore gauges and height gauges
  • \n
  • Complete first-off inspections
  • \n
  • Identify and report any non-conformances promptly
  • \n
\n

Essential Experience Needed:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller
  • \n
  • Programming experience is essential
  • \n
  • Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
  • \n
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • \n
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • \n
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • \n
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • \n
\n

Desirable Experience:

\n
    \n
  • CAD/CAM programming experience.
  • \n
  • Experience with Hurco, Haas, Mazak or Fanuc controls.
  • \n
  • Experience operating Haas and Matsuura machinery.
  • \n
  • Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
  • \n
