AI Platform Engineer - Cambridge£55,000 - £65,000 DOE | Hybrid | PermanentWe're a growing technology company based in Cambridge, building AI-powered products and internal tooling. We're looking for an AI Platform Engineer to help design, build, and scale the infrastructure and systems that power our AI/LLM-driven applications.The Role:Design and build scalable back-end services and APIs to support AI/LLM-powered featuresDevelop and maintain infrastructure for deploying, monitoring, and scaling AI models in productionIntegrate cloud and/or locally hosted LLMs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, open-source models) into live productsBuild RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and prompt/conversation systemsCollaborate with data, product, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutionsImplement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability for AI-driven servicesOwn the full lifecycle: experimentation, prototyping, and production deploymentWhat We're Looking For:Strong commercial experience with Python and/or Java, plus cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)Hands-on experience with LLM-based application development (RAG, agents, copilots)Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineeringExperience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) a plusStrong understanding of scalable, production-grade system designComfortable working across experimentation and live deployment environmentsWhat's on Offer:Competitive salary + benefits packageHybrid working modelOpportunity to shape AI strategy and architecture from the ground upCollaborative, innovation-focused cultureTPBN1_UKTJ
