In this exciting position, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting engineering design delivery for impactful water and wastewater projects as part of Southern Water's £3.1bn Strategic Development Partnership Framework. Your Responsibilities\n

As our Assistant Design Manager, you will:

• Support the management of engineering design delivery for assigned projects, ensuring quality and compliance.
\n
• Collaborate with engineering teams and design consultants to develop technically sound and economically efficient solutions.
\n
• Contribute to Engineering Project Plans covering scope, schedule, cost, risk, and resources.
\n
• Work with project teams to identify opportunities for innovation, affordability, and sustainable design.
\n
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and manage design-related health and safety considerations.
\n

What We’re Looking For\n

This role is perfect for you if:

• You’re working towards a professional qualification (Chartered Engineer) with a degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
\n
• You have relevant engineering design, construction, and management experience.
\n
• You possess excellent communication skills and can explain complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
\n
• You’re passionate about environmental improvement and driving technical innovation.
\n
• You hold a Full driving licence.
\n
