You will work within our Credit Control function, managing outstanding debts and maintaining positive relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders giving you genuine exposure to the financial heartbeat of a leading TIC organisation.About Central ServicesBased in Burton-on-Trent, SOCOTEC UK's Head Office houses our Central Services teams. These teams provide a corporate structure to support the wider business. Central Services is broken down into five main areas: Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, Finance, and IT. Each of these areas is vital to the day-to-day running of SOCOTEC.Job Description Ensure cash collection targets are met consistentlyMonitor and action all credit control mailboxes accordinglyFollow the dunning strategy to manage outstanding debts effectivelyEnsure all invoices are paid in line with agreed payment termsPromote a positive image of SOCOTEC central finance both internally and externallyAssist colleagues across the Finance team where requiredBuild and maintain positive working relationships with customers and SOCOTEC staffQualifications A people person able to develop and foster working relationships with customers and SOCOTEC staffNumerate, organised, logical, and tenacious approach to debt collectionExperience with Microsoft Excel and SAGE would be advantageousPrevious experience in a service-based industry would be advantageousCredit control experience in a service-based industry would be highly desirableAdditional Information Here at SOCOTEC UK, we have over 2,000 colleagues across our divisions delivering world-class services to our customers.
