Vehicle Technician - MOT Tester

Location: Canterbury, East Kent, CT4 6RY Salary: £36,000 £40,000 per annum + monthly bonus Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:30pm Weekends: No weekendsWhy Work Here? £36,000 £40,000 salary , depending on experience.Bonus paid on monthly turnover targets OTE £42K.Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:30pm .No weekend working.Excellent reputation for quality workmanship.Dealer-level diagnostic equipment for VW Group and JLR.Bosch KTS and OPUS Autologic diagnostic systems.4-wheel alignment and ADAS equipment.Outstanding workshop facilities and equipment.Strong team ethos and supportive working environment.Extensive technical experience within the team.Training provided through Bosch Car Service.Part of the Bosch Car Service Network with a 100% audit pass .Encouragement and support for staff development.Growing customer base and increasing demand.Management team with over 35 years' experience within the prestige vehicle sector .Future development plans focused on new automotive technology.About the Business An established independent vehicle workshop based in Canterbury with an excellent reputation for high-quality servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs across all makes and models.The business specialises in prestige brands including Audi, Volkswagen, Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz and BMW , and is part of the Bosch Car Service Network .The Role An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Vehicle Technician with a minimum of 3 years' experience to join a highly skilled and supportive workshop team.You will work on a wide range of vehicles, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, mechanical repairs and maintenance using high-quality diagnostic equipment and workshop facilities.This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys solving complex problems, takes pride in their workmanship and is keen to continue developing their skills.Key Responsibilities Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.Use professional diagnostic equipment to identify faults.Carry out engine repairs and timing chain work.Complete vehicle inspections and identify additional work required.Work on a range of prestige and premium vehicles.Complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard.Work independently to diagnose and resolve technical problems.Maintain a clean, organised and professional workshop environment.Communicate effectively with colleagues, management and customers.Qualifications & Profile The ideal candidate will have:Minimum 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician.NVQ Level 3 minimum or equivalent automotive qualification.MOT Licence preferred but not essential.MOT training can be provided for the right candidate.Strong experience in vehicle diagnostics.Familiarity with professional diagnostic equipment.Ability to work independently and solve technical problems.Strong team-working skills.Excellent communication skills.Smart and presentable appearance.Full, clean UK driving licence.Own transport.Own tools.A willingness to develop and undertake further training.Desirable Experience Experience with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) would be highly advantageous.Additional desirable experience includes:Engine repairs and timing chains.Electrical diagnostics.Previous experience as an independent technician.Previous manufacturer/dealer training.MOT testing preferred but not essential.TPBN1_UKTJ
