Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing RefurbishmentLocation - RochdaleSalary/Package - £45,000 - £55,000 + Excellent Benefits PackageAbout the CompanyOur client is an established construction and refurbishment contractor specialising in the delivery of high-quality refurbishment and maintenance projects across the North West.The business works extensively within the social housing sector, delivering refurbishment and improvement programmes for housing providers and local authorities. With a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and collaborative project delivery, they have developed long-term relationships with clients across the region.Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Rochdale.The RoleAs Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of social housing refurbishment projects from pre-construction through to final account.Key responsibilities will include:Managing the commercial performance of allocated refurbishment projectsPreparing and monitoring CVRs, forecasts, and cost reportsManaging subcontract procurement and subcontractor accountsPreparing valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final accountsMonitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunitiesWorking closely with Contracts Managers, Project Managers, and site teamsReviewing contractual requirements and ensuring commercial complianceMaintaining accurate commercial records and reportingBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients and supply chain partnersSupporting the successful delivery of social housing refurbishment programmesThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Quantity Surveyor will have:Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within constructionSocial housing refurbishment experience is highly desirableExperience working on refurbishment, maintenance, or planned works programmesStrong knowledge of cost control, forecasting, valuations, and final accountsExperience managing subcontractor accounts and procurementGood understanding of construction contractsStrong commercial awareness and negotiation skillsExcellent communication and organisational abilitiesGood Microsoft Excel and IT skillsRelevant Quantity Surveying or construction qualificationWhat's on Offer£45,000 - £55,000 salaryExcellent benefits packageOpportunity to work on established social housing refurbishment programmesLong-term position with a growing contractorExcellent career progression opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative commercial teamExposure to a range of refurbishment and maintenance projects across the North WestApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities.Please Note: Due to high volume of applicants, only those shortlisted will be contacted.INDCOMTPBN1_UKTJ
