Description Project Support Officer (PSO) 6 Month Contract (Inside IR35) Location: Hybrid (East of Scotland / Home Working) Our public sector client is seeking an experienced Project Support Officer (PSO) to join a major transformation programme focused on the deployment and successful adoption of a new software service. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider Transformation Team, you will provide vital project coordination and administrative support to ensure effective planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, training, deployment, and go-live activities. Key Duties & Responsibilities Support the delivery of a software implementation project from planning through to go-live and transition to business-as-usual. Maintain project documentation, plans, schedules, RAID logs, action trackers and project registers. Coordinate project meetings, workshops and governance forums, including agenda preparation, minute-taking and action tracking. Assist with stakeholder communications, engagement activities and progress reporting. Support training and user readiness activities, including scheduling sessions and maintaining associated records. Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and decisions, escalating as appropriate. Manage document control, version management and project record keeping. Support testing, acceptance and sign-off processes, ensuring evidence and approvals are recorded. Produce accurate project updates, reports and management information. Work collaboratively with project, technical and business stakeholders to support successful delivery outcomes. Experience Required Previous Experience in a Project Support Officer, Project Coordinator or PMO Support role. Experience supporting software, digital or business transformation projects. Strong organisational, administrative and documentation skills. Experience of project governance, reporting and maintaining project controls. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficient in Microsoft 365 and project collaboration tools.
