We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our dedicated team.

\n

The Role

\n

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children’s learning and development through engaging activities, positive relationships and high standards of care. You will work as part of a supportive team to create an inclusive and inspiring environment for children aged 9 months to 5 years.

\n


\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

• Provide high-quality care and learning experiences for children

\n

• Support children’s emotional, social, and educational development

\n

• Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities in line with the Curriculum for Excellence and Realising the Ambition guidance

\n

• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming nursery environment

\n

• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

\n

• Observe, assess, and record children’s progress

\n

• Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies at all times

\n


\n

Essential Requirements

\n

• SVQ Level 7 in Social Services (Children and Young People) or equivalent recognised childcare qualification

\n

• Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), or willingness to register

\n

• Previous experience working in an early years setting

\n

• Good understanding of child development and wellbeing • Strong communication and teamwork skills

\n

• Passionate, reliable, and caring approach

\n

Desirable

\n

• Paediatric First Aid qualification

\n

• Knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and GIRFEC

\n

• Experience with outdoor learning approaches

\n
