Lead a retail team that changes children's lives every dayStep up to Deputy Store Manager (Dual site) and drive commercial success whilst directly supporting children with disabilities across the UK. You'll shape store operations, develop your team, and see the real-world impact of your retail expertise.About NewlifeAs one of the UK's leading charities providing essential specialist equipment to children with disabilities, Newlife is dedicated to making life better - for the families we serve, and for the people who help us to make that happen.Through grants and emergency equipment loans, we ensure children get the vital equipment they need, when they need it, while our free nurse helpline offers crucial support and information.What you'll be doingWorking in partnership with the Store Manager, you'll plan and direct daily store operations for our Discount Plus and Homestore. You'll develop strategies to improve customer service, drive sales, and increase profitability.Your key responsibilities:Meet sales goals by training, motivating and mentoring team membersEnsure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent serviceExceed commercial targets and KPIs including round up, refund conversion, and customer database growthSupport and coach your team to review sales floor layouts and maximise opportunitiesDevelop and implement Stock Loss Action PlansDeliver profitable sales through effective stock rotation, ordering and cost controlLead and motivate your team in the Store Manager's absenceMaintain high store standards and foster a positive environmentWhat we're looking forExperience:Operational retail processes experienceStock loss controls and store security knowledgeKey holder experience with opening and closing responsibilitiesPeople management including training, directing and delegatingDelivering customer service in busy retail environmentsMaking decisions under pressureSkills:Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel and OutlookAdaptable leadership style showing compassion and empathyConflict resolution with customers and team membersCommercial creativity to maximise product salesAbility to create energy and pace within the storeOther requirements:Flexibility to cover extra hours and other stores as requiredFull driving licence and access to own vehicleReady to make a difference?Join a team where your retail expertise directly helps children with disabilities get the equipment they need.
