Cross Trade Import Executive

Due to expansion, our client, who are a small friendly global logistics provider based at Heathrow (Ashford TW15) has an exciting new position available for an experienced Cross Trade Import Executive . The successful candidate should be an experienced freight forwarder with solid experience of handling cross trade import traffic via sea (bias) and air, knowledge of Customs clearances, an excellent commercial awareness and good English communication skills (both verbal & written), someone who can use their initiative is essential with a flexible attitude. Good prospects are available.Employment Terms for the Cross Trade Import Executive :Office BasedHours Mon Friday 9am-5.30pm20 days holiday plus bank holidaysOvertime or option to bank additional holidaySalary £35-40k DOE & NegResponsibilities for the Cross Trade Import Executive :Dealing with Far east traffic; USA cross trade 70% of the roleHandling UK imports Sea (bias) and Air; This would be mainly sea freight but would also incorporate some air movementsKnowledge of USA import procedures an advantage FDA, Bond, ISF filling etcUnderstand the Customs Clearance ProcessFull account management (Start to Finish role)Providing Quotes and follow upSetting up shipments with overseas offices at origin and issue clear instructions to destination for clearance and delivery (offering a door to door service)Managing and monitoring shipments through to delivery, getting Pod and raising invoiceMaintaining Tracker/SpreadsheetsHigh level of customer service required for a demanding clientRequired SkillsHighly organised, able to use initiativeExcellent English communication skills (verbal & written)Strong Admin and IT skillsAble to work under pressure and to deadlinesTPBN1_UKTJ
