Solid Fuel Delivery Driver

Are you ready to hit the road with Pearsons of Duns Coal Merchants?We are currently looking for a full time, reliable and motivatedClass C1 or Class C HGV Driverto join our busy Solid Fuel Department.The RoleAs a Solid Fuel Delivery Driver, you will deliver 40kg bags of Coal to domestic customers using either a 7.5-tonne or 12-tonne HGV Truck.The role involves carrying stitched sacks of coal to customers bunkers, or stores so a good level of physical fitness is essential. You will be responsible for ensuring the truck is loaded with the correct products off our delivery app, and that deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time while providing friendly customer service along the way.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver solid fuel to domestic and commercial customers using a 7.5-tonne or 12-tonne HGV.Check that the correct quantities of goods are loaded before leaving.Be signed off by a supervisorEnsure deliveries are completed accurately and efficiently.Follow all road safety, health and safety, and company procedures.Complete any required delivery app processes accurately.If you are a dependable driver with a strong work ethic who enjoys getting stuck in, we would love to hear from you. The job requires a hardworking individual who can be part of a good team of people, who help each other daily.Summer Hours: 35 hours per weekWinter Hours: 45-47.5 hours per weekSalary Available all year round, or hourly pay with a tonnage delivery bonus and overtime paid over standard hours.Attractive Holiday Package: 32 Days Holiday as standard if taken in Spring/Summer only, increasing to 38 days after 5 years service.
