\nThe Supply Register is recruiting on behalf of one of our partner Multi-Academy Trusts for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join their HR team based at Head Office in Leicester.
\nThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional with a strong understanding of the education sector. The successful candidate will provide expert HR advice and support to school leaders across the Trust, managing a varied caseload while ensuring compliance with employment legislation, safeguarding requirements and Trust policies.
The Role\nAs a Senior HR Advisor, you will:

Provide professional HR advice and guidance to Headteachers, senior leaders and managers.
\n - \n
Manage a wide range of employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, sickness absence and performance management.
\n - \n
Advise on HR policies, procedures and current employment legislation.
\n - \n
Support schools with organisational change, restructures and workforce planning where required.
\n - \n
Ensure compliance with safeguarding requirements and Safer Recruitment guidance.
\n - \n
Support recruitment campaigns, interview processes and onboarding.
\n - \n
Build strong working relationships with school leaders and stakeholders across the Trust.
\n - \n
Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
\n - \n
Promote best practice and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR services.
\n

Previous experience working as a Senior HR Advisor or HR Advisor is essential.
\n - \n
Previous experience working within education is essential, with a strong understanding of school environments and the challenges they face.
\n - \n
Significant experience managing complex employee relations casework.
\n - \n
Excellent knowledge of Safer Recruitment practices and safeguarding requirements.
\n - \n
Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
\n - \n
Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
\n - \n
Ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
\n - \n
CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
\n
As this role is within an education setting, successful applicants must be able to:

Provide a full employment history covering the last 24 months.
\n - \n
Provide a minimum of two employment references (three if you have not previously worked with children).
\n - \n
Complete an Employment History Form covering every month from leaving full-time education.
\n - \n
Provide character references where required to cover any gaps in employment.
\n - \n
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
\n - \n
Provide proof of right to work in the UK.
\n - \n
Provide two proofs of address, proof of National Insurance and any relevant name change documentation.
\n - \n
Provide an overseas police check if you have lived outside the UK for more than six months.
\n - \n
