Digital Certificate Consultant (SC Clearance)
Location: Onsite Preston (5 days pw)

Clearance: Active SC clearance

Inside IR35: £500.00 - £550.00

We are currently hiring for a reputed client on a contract basis, supporting digital certificate governance across a multi-supplier environment. This is a coordination, assurance and risk-visibility role-ideal if you enjoy bringing clarity, consistency and audit-ready evidence to complex certificate landscapes.

What you'll be doing:
\n * Govern digital certificate management across suppliers, aligning processes to client security policies, cryptographic standards, risk requirements and regulatory/contract obligations
\n * Lead supplier governance and coordination under a SIAM operating model-driving consistent ownership, inventory accuracy and lifecycle discipline
\n * Provide oversight of certificate lifecycle assurance (issuance, renewal, revocation, replacement) without performing certificate administration or PKI engineering
\n * Maintain visibility of certificate-related risk across the supplier landscape, supporting risk assessment and escalation where remediation can't be achieved immediately
\n * Produce consolidated, risk-based reporting and dashboards covering inventory health, renewal performance, expiry risk, policy compliance and supplier performance
\n * Define and validate evidence requirements to ensure audit-ready, traceable and consistent assurance across inventory and compliance reporting
\n * Contribute to continuous improvement-enhancing governance maturity, reporting quality, lifecycle processes and risk management practices

What you'll bring:
\n * Strong experience in digital certificate management, PKI governance, cyber security governance, information assurance or GRC
\n * Solid understanding of certificate lifecycle management and certificate-related operational risk
\n * Proven ability to work in multi-supplier / outsourced environments with strong stakeholder management
\n * Experience producing governance reporting and risk-based management information
\n * Confidence interpreting certificate outputs and reporting without direct operational ownership
\n * Clearance requirement: must be SC cleared (active), a sole UK national, and meet UK presence criteria (no more than 28 consecutive days outside the UK in the last 5 years)
